Lionel Messi: Barcelona TROLL Liverpool with hilarious tweet ahead of Champions League tie

The Argentine scored a sublime free-kick to seal a 3-0 win last week in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

It was Messi’s second goal of the game and his 26th career goal against English opponents.

Luis Suarez also scored to haunt his former side and Liverpool now face a mammoth task to get anything from tonight’s second leg.

All eyes will be on Messi as he looks to add to the eight goals he’s scored on English soil.

And Barca aimed a cheeky dig at the Reds in one of their pre-match tweets last night.

They posted a picture of Messi as he trained on the Anfield pitch.

And the image was captioned with: “We’ve found one person who does walk alone.”

Barca’s tweet comes amid news that:

“I have all the respect in the world for Liverpool’s fans.”

Suarez sparked controversy last week as he celebrated wildly after putting Barca 1-0 up.

But the Uruguayan has promised to be respectful to the Liverpool faithful if he nets tonight.

“Celebrating the goal? Everyone who football knows the importance of the goal I scored last week,” he said.

“I have all the respect in the world for Liverpool’s fans.

“I’m very thankful to them. If I score a goal here, I won’t celebrate it in the same way. All the work I did here and the way I’m thankful for Liverpool.

“The team had four or five years without being in the Champions League, the people here know the work I did here.

“I think there will be more applause than whistles for me. Being at Liverpool helped me in many ways, it made me more professional, it helped me mature.

“Having players here with great experience allowed me to be better even more. Being captain of Liverpool was one of the proudest moments of my career. I won’t forget it.”
