WB Games will distribute and help “bring the game to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”
CD Projekt Red has announced that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will “be responsible for the distribution and promotion of Cyberpunk 2077 in North America, and will bring the game to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”
“We’ve worked with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and both releases turned out to be really successful, so we’re entering this new stage of our cooperation with great confidence,” CD Projekt Red’s Member of the Board and SVP of Business Development, Michał Nowakowski, said on its website.
“Cyberpunk 2077 is our biggest and most ambitious project to date, and I’m really looking forward to all the amazing things we can achieve together.”
This news also confirms that while the ever-ambitious Cyberpunk 2077 may also launch with the next-generation consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One won’t be left behind.
Cyberpunk 2077 was announced in January 2013, and at Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference we received our first real look at world created by the developers of The Witcher franchise.
While CD Projekt only showed Cyberpunk 2077’s live gameplay demo behind closed doors at E3 2018 and Gamescom, it finally released it to the public in late August and people around the world were able to see the game in action.
CD Projekt Red was hesitant to show the demo to the public because the game is “still deep in development, and elements are subject to change.”
Cyberpunk 2077, which will be played predominately in first-person, has no release date but the developer has said that while the game is missing assets and includes bugs and such, Cyberpunk 2077 is playable from start to finish.
